1. Enroll your child in a Learn-to-Skate class at a local rink -- Mount Pleasant Ice Arena in Northeast Baltimore; Reisterstown Sportsplex in Baltimore County, or the DiPietro Family Skating Center in Patterson Park, southeastern Baltimore City.

2. Place your child in a Hockey Basics class at a local rink
3. Skate, skate, and keep on skating at public skating sessions and stick-n-puck sessions.
4. Enroll your child in BYHC's rec program . Mites X-ice (ages 8 and under); Squirts (ages 9 and 10); Peewees (ages 11 and 12) and Bantams (ages 13 and 14). Registration usually takes place in spring and summer. The Baltimore Stars have an incredible $99 deal Mites X-ice this season, 2010-2011.
