Bring your team to the Baltimore Holiday HockeyFest and check out the holiday scene in Charm City between games. Our one-day tournament is Dec. 29 at the new Reisterstown Sportsplex about 35 minutes from Baltimore's Inner Harbor and even closer to the nationally-famous Miracle on 34th Street in Hampden, on the north side of the city.
|
Baltimore's Inner Harbor features Harborplace, the ESPN-Zone, Hard Rock Cafe, Power Plant Live, the National Aquarium, Maryland Science Center and IMAX, great restaurants. Little Italy is a short walk along the waterfront promenade.
There are a million things to do in Baltimore - a lot of them free, and plenty of things to do with kids. If you've never been to the Walters Museum, or Edgar Alan Poe's house, or Babe Ruth's Birthplace, Camden Yards, the Fells Point waterfront, the B&O Railroad Museum (with a fabulous holiday train display), this is your chance to do it. . . . and slip in a little hockey |

Any proceeds from the tournament benefit BYH's Patterson Park Stars program for underprivileged children. This program has been in operation for 12 years, completely funded by Baltimore Youth Hockey members and generous gifts and grants. For 15 weeks each season, children who otherwise would never have the experience of ice hockey get to suit up at Baltimore's Patterson Park rink and get on the ice for 90 minutes each Sunday. Volunteers transport the kids to the rink and many help on the ice. We provided a healthy breakfast as well. Any proceeds from the Holiday HockeyFest will help Baltimore Youth Hockey maintain its commitment to the Patterson Park Stars. |
