Memorial donation to Patterson Stars

Friends remember "Schotty" with gift to support our community service program at the Patterson Park RinkA donation has been made to Baltimore Youth Hockey for the Patterson Park Stars in honor of Michael "Schotty" Schott, an Ellicott City man who played goalie for his adult-league team. Mike died in a Back River boating accident on August 4, 2007. To those of us who knew him, it will be a very long time before our pain goes away. Even after that, the loss will always be carried in our hearts. To have known Mike was a blessing we will all cherish. Rarely was he ever seen without a smile on his face. Mike was very active in the local athletic community in the Baltimore area, especially ice hockey, and was always around friends. He played goalie for several teams and enjoyed playing for the Meltdowns at Garden's Ice House in Laurel and for the Clippers at Piney Orchard Ice Rink in Anne Arundel
County. He was a member of the Baltimore B-Hounds of the Baltimore Sports and Social Club, where he played a variety of sports, including broom ball and softball. Mike was a great goalie and would be proud of the Patterson Park Stars organization for the opportunities they give local kids who want to play hockey.
